Onpos accepts payments across three channels

Each of these channels come at different charges to the payer/biller. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions around all financial transactions with onpos. This information may be updated at any time without recourse to the user.

ONPOS does not charge for Signing-Up to an ONPOS account; Transferring a Bill; Creating a Bill, Confirming a Bill using the platform; Receiving updates of the Application or Receiving Notifications. We provide all of this for FREE on your behalf so that you always have a smooth payment experience. We will always transparently tell you where charges are applicable via this page.

Card Payments

Fee to the Payer: For every bill to be processed and paid with OnPOS using the card option; the convenience fee to the payer (customer) is N100 only (One hundred naira only).
Charges to the Biller: For receiving payment through cards; the fee to the biller is set by CBN for every merchant. This charge is 1.5% to a maximum of N2000. It is not controlled by OnPOS; it is set by the regulators of the financial industry in Nigeria.

When will the Biller Receive the Money when payment is made with Cards: With card payments; the biller receives the money the next day. This is the case for card transactions in Nigeria. It may change in future; and OnPOS would always update to ensure billers get their monies in the bank as soon as possible.

Internet Banking

Fee to the Payer: For every bill to be processed and paid with OnPOS using the internet banking option; the convenience fee to the payer (customer) is N100 only (One hundred naira only).
Charges to the Biller: For receiving payment through internet banking; the fee to the biller is N100 naira flat. No matter the amount. This is not based on any percentage. It is N100 naira flat fee.

When will the Biller Receive the Money when payment is made with Internet Banking: If your customers pay you via internet banking using OnPOS; you would get your monies same day.

Pay at Bank (E-bills)

Fee to the Payer: For every bill to be processed and paid with OnPOS at the bank using NIBSS eBills; the convenience fee to the payer (customer) is N100 only (One hundred naira only).
Charges to the Biller: For receiving payment through payment at bank; the fee to the biller is N100 naira flat. No matter the amount. This is not based on any percentage. It is N100 naira flat fee.

When will the Biller Receive the Money when payment is made with Pay at Bank Option: If your customers pay you via internet banking using OnPOS; you would get your monies same day.

*NB: General Notes

With OnPOS; you can always check to see when a bill is paid (Payment date) using the confirm bill feature; and when the monies gets credited into your bank account (Settlement date). Always logon to www.onpos.com.ng and check the settlement section for monies that have been settled.
